Tokić Group Acquires SAG’s Slovenian Commercial Vehicle Parts Business

A Regional Expansion Move in Commercial Vehicle Parts

The Tokić Group is expanding its position in Slovenia through the acquisition of SAG SLO doo, the Slovenian commercial vehicle parts business operating under the Matik brand. The seller is Swiss Automotive Group AG.

Matik specialises in spare parts for commercial vehicles, trucks and buses, with locations in Ljubljana, Maribor and Koper. The business employs 28 people and most recently generated operating turnover of €7.2 million. Its roots go back to 1969, and the brand has been active in the Slovenian market for around 30 years.

A Regional Expansion Move in Commercial Vehicle Parts

Building on the Bartog Platform

For Tokić, the acquisition is part of a wider regional growth strategy. The group already operates more than 120 stores under the Tokić name and its partner brand Bartog. It acquired Slovenian retailer Bartog in 2020, and according to the company, Bartog’s revenue has doubled since then.

The addition of SAG Slovenia is designed to strengthen Tokić’s commercial vehicle spare parts business and create synergies with its existing sales network in Croatia and Slovenia. The acquisition also fits the growth strategy presented by Tokić in connection with its planned IPO in November 2025, which includes regional acquisitions as well as investment in logistics, sales and technology.

Consolidation Continues in Parts Distribution

The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval, and the purchase price has not been disclosed. Strategically, the deal highlights the continued consolidation of regional parts distribution in Europe.

Building on the Bartog Platform

Commercial vehicle parts remain a highly service-driven category, where range, availability and local market knowledge are critical. By adding Matik’s specialist CV expertise to its existing network, Tokić is strengthening its regional platform in a segment with durable long-term demand.
