Broader Brake Offer for Heavy Vehicles
Bosch is widening its aftermarket braking offer for commercial vehicles with a new line of disc brake pads for trucks, trailers and buses. The range is designed to deliver consistent braking performance while reducing wear and shortening the bedding-in period after installation.
Designed for Faster Bedding and Lower Wear
A roughened surface treatment helps the pads reach full operating performance more quickly. Bosch says the products were assessed under ISO 26865 and ISO 26866 procedures, including demanding heat and downhill-braking simulations. In an independent comparison on a Mercedes-Benz Actros application, the new pads were reported to reduce brake-disc wear by as much as 25% versus the corresponding OE pads.
European Rollout and Aftermarket Potential
The initial rollout covers Germany, Poland, France and Turkey. Bosch plans to double the available references by the end of 2026, with the goal of covering about 90% of the European commercial-vehicle parc before expanding into further markets. For distributors serving truck fleets, this creates another high-volume wear-parts opportunity from a major OE supplier.
