AI-driven diagnostics tools
Bosch Mobility Aftermarket highlighted how artificial intelligence (AI) is reshaping vehicle diagnostics and support. The company’s new Super Technician tool leverages Bosch’s global data lake of repair information to provide technicians with step-by-step diagnostic recommendations, helping them isolate problems faster and more accurately. By condensing multiple pages of troubleshooting information into one or two screens, the tool saves valuable bay time while enhancing technician confidence. This AI platform signals Bosch’s commitment to harnessing data and machine learning to make repairs more efficient.
Expanded product portfolio
Beyond software, Bosch is broadening its hardware portfolio to cover more of the heavy-duty market. At AAPEX 2025 the company introduced heavy-duty air-disc brake pads and expanded brake line and filtration ranges, positioning Bosch as a full-line supplier for Class 6–8 vehicles. These products are engineered to deliver original-equipment reliability for demanding applications such as refuse trucks and buses, extending the company’s reach from passenger cars into commercial vehicles. Bosch also added new filters, wiper blades and sensors, reinforcing its goal of becoming a one-stop shop for repairers.
Advancing technician training and safety
To celebrate the centennial of its OTC tool brand, Bosch emphasised hands-on demonstrations and technician training. At its EQUIP AUTO and AAPEX booths, the company created interactive stations that allowed users to try scan tools and see the benefits of proper calibration. Bosch’s staff insisted that demonstrations are essential for technician safety because technicians often need to see how to use advanced equipment safely. The emphasis on training underscores Bosch’s belief that competent technicians are key to customer satisfaction.
Future of remote services
Bosch is also investing in connected services. Its Remote Diagnostic Service (RDS) and over-the-air update platform enable shops to program modules and perform calibrations remotely, saving travel time and boosting productivity. With vehicles becoming more connected, Bosch’s combination of AI-enabled diagnostics, expanded product lines and remote services positions the company to support independent workshops as vehicles evolve.
